The College may be nestled in some most beautiful countryside but the vibrant cities of Leeds, Hull and York are just a short journey away.

The nearest of these, Kingston upon Hull, is just 10 miles from the College and is undergoing significant regeneration. Hull and York offers lots to see and do. From history and culture, to seeing sporting teams and shopping these cities have it all.

The cities of York & Hull are bursting with galleries, museums, concerts,theatres and cinemas. If you prefer splashing the cash there are shops aplenty from high-street shops to designer boutiques.

The region is also home to famous sporting clubs such as Hull City, Hull FC, Hull KR, Hull RUFC, Hull Stingrays, Leeds UTD FC, Leeds Rhinos, Leeds Carnegie and Yorkshire Cricket Club.

If you fancy a quieter day and an ice cream then the seaside resorts of Scarborough and Bridlington are close by. Scarborough was Britain’s first seaside resort and continues to be popular for day trips and longer holidays. The resort offers attractions such as the Sea Life Marine Sanctuary, Scarborough Art Gallery and the newly refurbished Rotunda Museum, along with many festivals, including Seafest, jazz festival, book festival, bike racing and the famous Scarborough Fayre.

The region also offers spectacular countryside ideal for walking, cycling, watching wildlife or relaxation. Stretching from the Yorkshire Wolds to the North York Moors National Park along sandy beaches, sea views from the cliffs, dense woodland and magnificent dales.

The region is approximately 200 miles from London and Edinburgh,100 miles from Manchester, an hour’s drive from Leeds.

The College is also connected by air and sea via Humberside International Airport and the Ferry terminal.
