The programme

This programme has been designed to offer a thorough introduction to the wide range of careers that are available to students interested in both fishing and fish husbandry. It also provides the opportunity for students to progress on to a more advanced programme, such as the National Diploma in Fisheries Management and/or the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to enable them to gain employment within this very popular and fast growing industry.

Entry Requirements

4 GCSEs at grade D

OR

Level 1 qualification in a related subject

OR

"Life experience" will also be taken into account when considering applications from mature students.

It is important that learners hold a current Environment Agency rod licence and are able to swim proficiently.
