Apprenticeships

  • Know what you want to do?
  • Can't wait to get into the work place?
  • Then an Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship is for you.

You can gain real skills while you are working and being paid a full wage by your employer. The training is very much a partnership between the college and the employer, with technical certificates and Key Skills studied at college, and the assessment of practical skills taking place in the workplace.

Apprenticeships can be started at any time of the year, and take between one and four years to complete. You work towards an NVQ level 2 and generally do not have to meet any academic entry requirements, or you could enter directly onto Advanced Apprenticeship if you have either completed an apprenticeship or achieved 3 good GCSE passes at grades A-C.

All Bishop Burton College apprenticeships and advanced apprenticeships include the opportunity to gain additional valuable qualifications and certificates, allowing you demonstrate competence in a wide variety of job related tasks.
