Work Based Learning
Apprenticeships
Are designed for people who know what they want to do and can't wait to get into the work place. They allow you to gain real skills while you are working and being paid, either a full wage by your employer or a training allowance. The training is very much a partnership between the College and the employer, with technical certificates studied at college, and the assessment of practical skills taking place in the workplace.
Apprenticeships can be started at any time of the year, and take between one and four years to complete. Trainees taking an apprenticeship work towards an NVQ level 2 and generally do not have to meet any academic entry requirements, whilst those taking an advanced apprenticeship will have either completed an apprenticeship or leave school with 3 good GCSE passes at grades A-C. All Bishop Burton College apprenticeships and advanced apprenticeships include the opportunity to gain additional valuable qualifications and certificates, allowing you demonstrate competence in a wide variety of job related tasks.
E2E
This programme has been designed for students who are not sure which apprenticeship is right for them. E2E provides guidance, support, personal assessments and a variety of opportunities to “taste” the different options available
